A customer was missing some keys, so we decided to replace the entire keyboard. When the keyboard came in and I started trying to figure out how to remove the keyboard, I finally determined that I would have to break these little plastic holders that looked like they had been melted into place.
In fact, when I was trying to remove the keyboard cover by using a guitar pick, I was at first gratified to hear the clicks of what I thought were clips snapping out, but afterward was taken aback when I saw they were those little plastic things breaking.
So now I will be ordering specific keys to replace. Just wanted to warn anyone who tries to do this, since I searched on the internet and never could find any information on how to replace the keyboard. It would have been nice to know that it was near-impossible.
